Brussels, 31 January 2019 – European providers of digital networks and services are an engine of economic and societal growth and the sector is undergoing a major transformation fuelled by 5G and IoT platforms. However, Europe must address major strategic challenges related to the pace of network investment, market conditions, spectrum availability and regulatory context.
Today, 17th January, UNI Europa – the European trade union federation for the services sector – and its social partner, ETNO, the Association representing Europe’s leading providers of digital networks and services, held a high-level workshop on mental health in the new world of work.

In this context, ETNO welcomes the draft “AI ethics guidelines for trustworthy AI” launched today by the European Commission’s High-Level Expert Group on AI.
